”Oscar”
Oscar probably doesn’t belong on this page, since he is not a wood carving. Never the less, he is a sculpture of
sorts. Oscar is made of papier-mâché
and was part of a Halloween costume I made back in the ‘60’s. I’ve had a lot of fun with him over the
years since he looks very real. The
most hilarious time was when I picked a date up at the girl’s dorm and we
went riding out into the countryside in my 63 split-window corvette. I had Oscar behind the seat with a hand I’d
made (a punch dispenser) The girl saw
the hand and asked what it was. I
told her it was a hand and then laid
Oscar in her lap. The only thing that
kept her in the car at 60 mph was her seat belt that she couldn’t get undone.
